Terms for the road ahead.

These terms govern access to the Roadsy website and Android app. By using Roadsy, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Pre-release status

Roadsy is currently in development and pre-release testing. Features may change, contain defects, or be unavailable. Public app-store availability, production navigation, full Android Auto guidance, billing, and release-level validation are not currently promised.

Drive first, app second

Do not interact with Roadsy in a way that distracts you from driving. Mount and configure your device before moving, follow traffic laws, obey road signs and conditions, and use the app only when safe and lawful. Roadsy scores and events are informational estimates. They are not emergency services, professional driving instruction, legal advice, insurance advice, or a determination that any person is safe or unsafe.

Sensor, GPS, map, and speed-limit data can be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Unknown speed limits remain unknown in Roadsy, but you remain responsible for knowing and obeying the actual posted limit.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If you create an account, provide accurate information, protect your sign-in methods, and notify Roadsy of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse Roadsy, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with operation, reverse engineer protected service components where prohibited by law, automate abusive requests, introduce malicious code, impersonate others, evade safety controls, falsify trips for competitive advantage, or use the service to stalk, harass, discriminate, or violate another person’s privacy.

Community content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Roadsy a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate and improve the service. Do not post unlawful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, or privacy-invasive content. Roadsy may restrict or remove content and accounts to protect users, comply with law, or enforce these terms.

You are responsible for the audience and details you choose to share. Avoid placing exact addresses, routes, destinations, or other sensitive information in public text.

Your data and privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how Roadsy handles information. Sharing controls, blocking, reporting, route privacy, passenger correction, export, and account deletion are intended to remain available without payment.

Third-party services

Roadsy relies on services such as Android, Google Firebase, Supabase, Cloudflare, and, once configured, Hygraph. Their availability and terms may affect Roadsy. Links to third-party sites do not imply endorsement, and Roadsy is not responsible for third-party content or practices.

Intellectual property

Roadsy, its visual identity, software, and original site content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms provide a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service as intended. They do not transfer ownership of Roadsy technology or branding.

Service changes and termination

Roadsy may change, pause, or discontinue features, especially during testing. You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion. Roadsy may suspend access for security risks, unlawful conduct, serious or repeated violations, or operational necessity. Where practical and appropriate, notice and a chance to appeal will be provided.

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Roadsy is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free scoring, data availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or suitability for insurance, employment, fleet discipline, legal proceedings, or emergency decisions. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Roadsy and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the service. Any liability that cannot be excluded will be limited only to the extent allowed by applicable law. These limits do not apply where prohibited, including for liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights where you live continue to apply.

Changes and contact

Updated terms will show a new effective date. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms, where permitted by law. Questions can be sent to hello@roadsy.app.
