Delete your Roadsy account
You can request deletion inside the Roadsy Android app or through Roadsy support. Account deletion is free and does not require an active subscription.
Use the app when you can
- Open Roadsy and go to Settings.
- Open Account and private backup.
- Select Delete account and complete any recent-authentication step.
- Review the consequences and confirm the request.
After a valid in-app request, Roadsy hides your Community activity and revokes sharing. You have 30 days to cancel the deletion request in the app. After that period, the cloud account and associated cloud data are permanently deleted, subject to the limited records described below.
Request deletion without the app
Open the Roadsy support form, choose Delete my account, and use the email address connected to your Roadsy account. If you cannot use that address, explain that in the message. You can also email privacy@roadsy.app. Do not send a password, authentication token, exact route, or identity document unless Roadsy explains why it is required.
Roadsy will verify that the requester controls the account before starting deletion. Verification may require a reply or a secure in-app sign-in. The 30-day cancellation period begins when Roadsy confirms that the verified deletion request has been recorded.
What the request deletes
After the cancellation period, Roadsy deletes the account, private cloud backup, profile, Community posts and relationships, cloud trip summaries, exact route and sensor records, and other account-linked cloud data that Roadsy is not legally required to retain.
Roadsy may retain a minimal deletion marker for up to 365 days so an old device cannot restore a deleted trip. It may also retain limited security, fraud-prevention, moderation, transaction, consent, suppression, or legal records only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes. These records do not preserve the deleted route or sensor samples.
What you must delete separately
- Trips on your phone: Cloud account deletion does not erase local trips. Delete them in Roadsy, clear Roadsy’s app data in Android settings, or uninstall the app.
- Google Play subscription: Account deletion does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel it separately in Google Play.
- Copies held by other people: Roadsy cannot delete screenshots, exports, or Community content another person copied outside the service.
